Vata Spritzer

Ingredients: Rose Geranium hydrosol, essential oils of cardamom, frankincense, and vetiver, small amount of vodka as a preservative.

When imbalanced vata will show up as anxiety, nervousness, fear, emotional insecurity, and feeling ungrounded in life.

Frankincense calms the mind and nervous system, helps relieve anxiety, fear and nervousness.

Cardamom is slightly warming and has an infinity for the digestive and respiratory tracts. The seat of vata is in the intestines, cardamom will calm the digestive system and add a slightly warming, grounding effect.

Vetiver is an earthy, grounding oil that calms an overactive mind which is a tendency with the vata dosha.

These oils are in a base of rose geranium hydrosol which helps to dispel anxiety and insecurity.

2 oz spray bottle $18.00

In addition vata types may benefit from massaging the spray around the abdomen where vata likes to reside.

Pitta Spritzer

Ingredients: Rose hydrosol, aloe vera, and Bergamot, Sweet Orange, Lavender, and Roman Chamomile essential oils.

When imbalanced pitta tends toward anger, impatience, and irritability. Pitta’s also tend toward over-heating. I chose the cooling flowers of lavender and chamomile and calming uplifting citrus scents such as Bergamot and Sweet Orange. Lavender and Chamomile are also highly anti-inflammatory —pitta types tend toward inflammation. Bergamot is a nervine, calming an overactive sympathetic nervous system while sweet oranges lifts our moods. Its like sunshine in a bottle.

2 oz spray bottle $18.00

Pitta types will especially benefit spritzing this on the head and in the hair. Pitta tends to reside in the eyes, but keep the eyes closed. Heat collects in the head, spritzing through the hair will help to dispel heat.

Kapha Spritzer

Ingredients: Red Bottlebrush hydrosol (eucalyptus scent), witch hazel hydrosol, essential oils of Ginger, Eucalyptus, and Lemon, small amount of vodka as a preservative.

When kapha is out of balance it presents with depression, lethargy, attachment, sluggish digestion, congestion, and foggy thinking.

I choose ginger essential oil, to stimulate the body and digestion. It is also warming and slightly drying, kapha dosha tends to be cool and damp. Lemon is energizing and uplifting, it helps to lift spirit and ease depressing thoughts. Eucalyptus is also energizing and helps to dispel mucus from the respiratory tract.

2 oz spray bottle $18.00

Kapha types will benefit from an extra spritz on the chest, breathing in the aroma. Kapha tends to seat in the lungs and respiratory tract.
